Who has the right to express themselves and share their art in public spaces?
At EMPWRNG VOICES, we believe that children and young people are the most important voices when it comes to imagining and shaping the future. Schools play a vital role in planting the seeds of values that young people carry with them into adulthood.
In a world full of uncertainty and unrest, we at EMPWRNG VOICES have created a concept to inspire hope, courage and creativity in youth.
Through a dynamic 1–2 day workshop, our artist invites students to explore the powerful question: “What would the world look like if it were led by women?”
By linking directly to curriculum goals in social studies and arts education, we co-create a visual expression that fosters a deep sense of ownership and engagement among the students.
This workshop has already been piloted in collaboration with students at Edvard Munch Upper Secondary School. Their feedback highlighted how the experience gave them hope for the future, helped them recognize their own potential to influence change in Norway, and deepened their understanding of their role as active citizens.
The final results of the workshops will be showcased as part of our art and culture festival, with an opening celebration on October 16th. The event will take place at Gamle Munch in Tøyen, Oslo.
We warmly welcome inquiries from schools interested in hosting this inspiring workshop.
